Lake Issyk-Kul is not just a 182-kilometer body of water. It is a whole world of routes, each revealing a new side of the lake. After five navigation seasons, we have refined dozens of options. Today we share the top five.
Route 1: Sunset Cruise from Cholpon-Ata
The classic introduction to Issyk-Kul. The ship departs from Golden Sands pier at 19:00, sails along the northern shore to Cape Svyatoy Nos, and returns by 21:00. Two hours of golden light, dinner on the upper deck, live music on Fridays.
Route 2: Morning Fishing
The Bereke boat departs at 06:00 from Bosteri towards the eastern banks. The guide knows the spots, tackle and bait included. Return by 09:30.
Route 3: Full Circle — Cholpon-Ata, Tamchy, Karakol
The longest route: 6 hours, three stops, two meals. Chyngyz yacht starts from Cholpon-Ata, stops in Tamchy, continues to Karakol, and returns along the southern shore.
Route 4: Private Charter "Proposal"
Nomad yacht, 3 hours, just your couple and the captain. Route chosen with a coordinator: usually sunset in Balykchy bay. Champagne, decor, photographer included.
Route 5: Speed Tour "Wind of Issyk-Kul"
Tolgonai boat, 40 minutes of pure adrenaline. Route: Bosteri — Cape Svyatoy Nos — Cholpon-Ata. Speed up to 50 km/h.
The best route is the one that matches your mood. Do not be afraid to change plans: the lake is different every day.
